Once again the Hannah Montana Kids show star has absolutely wowed me with a performance. It was not heartfelt, it was not thoughtful. It was AMAZING. I have never liked her music, never enjoyed her on TV, but ever since she has apparently gone crazy and cut her hair off (Which, as an aside, she did for a music video with Borgore, one of my favorite dirty dub musicians, mind you. She didn’t go nuts.) However, last night on the AMA’s she did a wonderful rendition of “Wrecking Ball” in front of a lip-synced ode to the internet. The New York Times called the performance “Cat-Astrophic” and while I am inclined to agree, they have missed the point of her choice in the performance. The fact of the matter is that she LOVES the INTERNET. The symbolism is hard to miss for one that is as ingrained with it as I am and I suspect she is as well.
