Running Before The Sun

I run in the dark because it’s quiet.

Just before the sun everything is silent.

The day has yet begun, no worries, no strife.

I run to forget about life.

The earth has had time to cool.

The water and wind have calmed.

All of the world is silent,

that is why I run, just before dawn.

I am the Sun

Why do I run? Because I can. I run everyday because I can hear the air in my ears and feel it in my lungs. I run everyday because I feel the sun on my face. I hear the birds as they flutter and scurry about and I pass by the people in my town. I run because I become one with my life.

Why do I run? Because I Can. I Am The Sun. Just Run!
