One Day After Another
Welcome To Earth Aeon
We spent a week in the hospital before it became too much to bear.
Being here gives one a certain kind of survivors guilt. Aeon is very healthy, despite her size and micro-preemie status. It is hard to sit here with families all around you who’s babies are in far worse condition, so when Boyfriend came up to visit us and asked if I would mind coming home because he needed help packing to move us anyway, I jumped at the chance to get out for a little bit. My mother offered to stay on for a while so that I could leave without too much guilt. The nurses don’t ever give you the whole story when you ask how your baby is doing on the phone, they leave out the little things that are truly the milestones you want to hear about.
